The Morris Knolls Band Boosters (MKBB) is a non-profit (501c3) organization consisting of parent volunteers who promote and support the activities of the Morris Knolls Marching Band through various means.

MEETINGS

EXECUTIVE BAND BOOSTER BOARD MEETINGS
Are held on the second Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m.

GENERAL BOOSTER MEETINGS
Are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 8:00 p.m. at the high school, conveniently concluding at 9:00 p.m. when practice ends. The dates will be available on the Calendar.

PARENT RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Make sure that your child attends all practices, games, parades and competitions

  • Make sure your child arrives on time. In cases of traffic, etc, the student should contact their section leader via text or phone call to let them know they will be late.

  • Attend Booster General meetings.

  • Help work any general funds fundraisers the band boosters have deemed necessary.

  • Participate in fundraisers (voluntary)

  • Dry clean the student’s band uniform as needed, and before turning it in at the end of the year. Parents are also responsible for securing the snaps on the band uniform jacket.


MK MARCHING BAND UNIFORM - CARE

2024 Uniform Care Instructions

Appropriate dress with/under the uniform is a show shirt, pants that will not show through bibs, and black dress socks. In colder weather, a yellow mock-turtle neck long-sleeve shirt has been provided for an extra layer.

  • Garment bags are required to keep uniforms neat and clean and to keep the uniform pieces together on the bus.

  • Raincoats are required at every event. Keep them in your garment bags.

  • Gloves & shoes – Gloves and shoes are sold by the band director at the beginning of the season. Only gloves and shoes sold by the band are approved to be worn with the uniform. Shoes should be stored in the pocket of the garment bag.
